Given the importance of the cadres’ role, training is necessary to enhance their capacity, particularly in Posyandu Lansia (Elderly Integrated Service Posts). This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres in monitoring NCD (non-communicable disease) risk factors at Posyandu Lansia. The training is also expected to help reduce the prevalence of NCDs in Buluhcina Village, Kampar Regency, a partner in this community service initiative. Furthermore, this activity can recommend further studies in formulating models for preventing NCD risk factors. The community service activity showed significant improvements in knowledge, as indicated by the average pre-test and post-test scores. The pre-test average was 35.7%, which increased to 81.5% in the post-test. Thus, it can be concluded that this community service activity positively impacted the knowledge of cadres and the elderly, resulting in an increased understanding of NCD risk factors
Armoni Suci Dewi Suyanto Suyanto Fachriani Putri Copyright (c) 2025 Abdimas Polsaka https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-03-01 2025-03-01 4 1 01 07 10.35816/abdimaspolsaka.v4i1.83 Capacity building of posyandu cadres through education and training in stunting prevention https://abdimas.polsaka.ac.id/index.php/abdimaspolsaka/article/view/84
Increasing the capacity of Posyandu cadres is a strategic step in efforts to prevent stunting at the community level. The Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in preventing stunting through education and training. The methods used include providing interactive materials, simulations, and field practices on risk factors, nutritional parenting, and early detection of stunting. The program participants are Posyandu cadres in the assisted areas with 30 people. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and skills of cadres, which was measured through pre-test and post-test. In addition, cadres can apply the knowledge gained in Posyandu activities, such as educating mothers under five years old, detecting stunting risks, and developing simple intervention programs in the community. In conclusion, practice-based education and training effectively increase Posyandu cadres' capacity for stunting prevention. This program is expected to contribute to reducing the prevalence of stunting in the assisted areas
Rida Millati Ari Setyawati Indrawati Aris Tyarini Isrowiyatun Daiyah Copyright (c) 2025 Abdimas Polsaka https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-03-01 2025-03-01 4 1 08 14 10.35816/abdimaspolsaka.v4i1.84 Optimizing the role of nurses in assisting families with non-communicable diseases in the community https://abdimas.polsaka.ac.id/index.php/abdimaspolsaka/article/view/85
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have become a significant health problem in many communities, including in Indonesia. Efforts to reduce the risk of stunting include increasing the adequacy of nutritional needs of infants, toddlers and adolescents in the womb. Objective: The purpose of implementing this program is to improve the health of adolescents and reduce the risk of nutritional deficiencies and stunting. Method: The method used during the implementation of this community service program is the lecture and discussion method with various stages. Results: The implementation of the Brazilian spinach empowerment program is a program that attracts the attention and interest of the community due to the relatively short cultivation method with a choice of processing with or without cooking first. Conclusion: The management of Brazilian spinach or amaranthus sp., which is carried out in a more varied way, will increase adolescents' interest in consuming vegetables. This will also reduce the risk of haemoglobin deficiency and stunting in the future due to inadequate nutrition.
Endang Puji Ati Mutia S Tagoli Musdalifa Tonote Sulis Sofyan Yunisa Tahir Farahdila Yusnita Batjo Hana Rindi Sahea Gracia Evjulin Samadi Copyright (c) 2025 Abdimas Polsaka https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2025-03-01 2025-03-01 4 1 37 42 10.35816/abdimaspolsaka.v4i1.88 Healthy adolescents free of anemia in iyok village, north bolaang mongondow regency https://abdimas.polsaka.ac.id/index.php/abdimaspolsaka/article/view/89
Adolescents are an age group that plays a role in stunting prevention efforts. The first stage is pretest and posttest on adolescents. The second stage, post-intervention Hb examination, the third stage is the administration of blood-boosting tablets. The participants of this PHBS educational activity are 6th grade students totaling 26 students.
